At home hair dye gone wrong.. now emo colored.. HELP!?

back in february I was curious to see what my hair would look lighter (im indian and have smooth black hair) and went to a dingy salon who highlighted my hair dirty blonde instead of the brown I asked for. I lived with it but since the roots looked horrible I got an at-home Loreal Feria kit in normal black. I did it and it turned out emo and very fake looking.

when is the earliest I can dye my hair again- and would it be wise to dye it the 'soft black' , will that even show up?

I don't want to remove this black and have the old blonde highlights show up so I'm not sure what direction to take

please help!!!

Old blonde highlight won't show up, it is very hard to achieve even if you try. Don't worry about that.

If your hair is now black, it will stay black unless you remove some color. It is not possible to add any color to black. At-Home kits won't do it. If you want to go lighter, and going from black to dark brown is in fact going lighter, you will have to use a weak bleach, no way around it.

Have it done professionally before you ruined your hair some more. Those drug store brands don't go well on top of one another. You might end up with funny shade of green if you don't know what you're doing. Professional salon can re-dye right away if your scalp is in good condition (not scratched that is). It's best to wait like a week, it is easier on your hair.

If you're brave, you can use Quick Blue bleach with 20 volume developer. (Developer is ranged from 10 to 30, with 30 being the strongest bleach) If you have long hair, try it on a strand of hair that's most hidden from the view, like the one at the nape of your neck. If you are satisfied with the results, you can do the full head application.

go back to the salon and get it fix

For the future, try not to go with permanent and just longer lasting. It would have been easier if you had. So, you can find a better salon (are you near a city?) or you can try dying it a dark brownish...but I'm not knowledgable with the dying bit. Your best bet is another salon. GoOD LucK!

welcome to the world of corrective color! The best thing to do is go into your nearest salon and seek out the advice of a chemical specialist. Sometimes going back to a

"natural color" is not as easy as it seems. It is best to get a professional opinion, for the sake and health of your hair! Good Luck!

Go to the hair dressers. They fix mistakes too, not just do it.

some at home colouring kits will turn out like, 3 shades darker than stated on the box. u wouldn't want to re-dye it again since too much dyes will damaged ur locks and make it frizzy

but if u feel like it's really that bad then wait about 1 month before re-dyeing. use shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair and intensive hair mask twice a week

and rub a bit of olive oil every night before u sleep

this time, girl, go to a salon for touch-ups or get a dye in brown cos it might turn up darker

in the mean time, embrace ur new colour.. offset the blackness by using hair accessories in dull colours.

bright colour like fuschia or white will only acentuate the blackness
