My hair is currently a really dark brown, almost black....?

im looking to go blonde, i was wondering which is better, "Born Blonde" (clarol) or "Blondissima" (loreal). both say you can go blonde if your starting color is dark brown/black (dyed or natural, mine is dyed). Please dont say " go to a salon" its too expensive.
