I have accidentally dyed my hair ginger how can i make it blond again?

I bought Loreal feria (multi-faceted highlights) in extremely light blond to touch up my already highlighted hair!

I completely followed the instructions to the word... yet now the majority of the highlights are a coppery ginger color!!!! Ahhh... what can i do to correct this HELP???

Do not worry there is still hope! Since you have a lot of red in your hair due to the feria I do not recommend you coloring your hair right away. Before you jump into coloring your hair you will need to prepare your hair for a rough ride. First start preparing your hair by doing daily moistureizing treatments with mayonaise. I know it sounds crazy but mayonaise will add a lot of nutrients to your hair and will prepare for a harsh process you need to undertake to correct this problem. Apply the mayonaise as if you where to apply haircolor and put a shower cap over your hair. Leave the mayonaise mixture for 10 minutes before rinsing. Rinse your hair and then use a leave in condtioner. Do this for about two to three days. After that time has elasped buy the loreal colorzap haircolor remover. Your hair will be stripped of all the haircolor that was deposited in your hair. After doing this your hair is ready for recoloring in no time. Dark Hair with a regular blonde color even the lightest possible or ultra light blonde has the tendency to turn red. To avoid this you need to do a double process bleach blonding. The bleach blonding product I recommend is the Clairol Born Blonde Maxi because it does the most optimal blonding without the unwanted brassiness. After you have bleached your hair apply the mayonaise mixute to nourish it. The next day use the regular blonde color of your choice. What I recommend is the revlon colorsilk blonde collection. The shade I personally recommend is the revlon colorsilk #71 Golden Blonde. It is a beautiful golden blonde with built in highlights without the unwanted brassiness. You will have a beautiful shade of blonde which is analogous to Reese Witherspoon's blonde. After you colored your hair use condtioner. I cannot stress enough the importance of a conditioner. To keep your blonde color vibrant what I recommend is the John Frieda Sheer Blonde Honey to Caramel shampoo conditioner plus color glaze. Pantene Pro V blonde expressions is also fine. With these tips you will have beautiful salon quality hair without the salon.

dont EVER use feria again. it messes hair up. metallic dye in it.

what you want to do is buy a light ash blond shade from nice and easy or hydrience.

personally, i would go to a salon.. i would be scared if i tried to fix it, as i might make it worse.

although it doesn't sound that bad... you could just dye your whole head in the color you had before highlights. then in a few weeks try a different color of highlights over it.

good luck!!

what color was your new growth? Depending on the color you already have in your hair, you might have to strip it to get the blonde you are looking for, that can be very harsh to the hair. Consider doing highlights, instead of the stripping process. Or come see me in Leesville, La. I will fix anything!
