Leather Sofa Staining!!!?

The problem is that my grandma dyed her hair using "Loreal". But she sat on the new leather sofa when it was still wet. We discovered it about half an hour later so we SCRUBBED it. But, cappicino color leather sofa, the color came a little off. We didn't know what to do so we used non-acetone nail polish remover which completely removed the color (1-inch in diameter). Then, my stupid mom put NAIL POLISH ON THE part where the color came off!!!! So now we have nail polish on our sofa...which is about 1 inch in diameter!!1

What to do...please help...quick points....

I have worked on similar problems several times so give grandma and mum a little break. The use of "cappacino" is the concern here as it probably means a mottled leather ( the more natural looking finished leathers that have a base tone and then a secondary color applied over it) this is advanced color matching and I would recommend being very choosy who you let try resolve. My company makes restore kits, but for this I would think the application really is not for a novice. Get reference from the "better" furniture stores in your area as to who they use; this is how alot of my clients found me.

Hope this helps

You really need to call a leather technician to have a look at this problem. Using lots of different things and now ending up with nail varnish will have caused problems. Also depending on the type of leather you have will determine how much can be done.

if you are in the UK call LTT on 01423 881027 who have a network of trained leather technicians to do this type of work

your best bet is to call out a tech from where you purchased the sofa. they have matching dyes to repair accidents like this. if you try something yourself, don't think it will give you the result your looking for. pay the money and have it fixed right, and learn from the experience.
